This week I have been sharing three dinosaur cards that I created. This is the second card . . . if you missed the first one you can click HERE.
When my son was young he loved dinosaurs, and now I have nephews who are fascinated by these same creatures. When I saw the Dino Play Cricut cartridge on sale recently I had to purchase it. I knew that it was filled with images that would be perfect for creating cards for my nephews.
I started off by choosing two shades of green cardstock, one teal blue and an off-white to use for the layers on three different dinosaurs that I created. This saved me some time since I could load all of the cardstock onto my Cricut mat at once and then cut the layers for three images.
I used a double sided pattern paper for the accent paper. The colors for the patterns on both sides are in the same color family, so I knew that either side would go with the dinosaurs. One side had polka dots, and the other had this fun stripe pattern.
I find that when I want to make several cards if I pull out colors that work together from my cardstock stash, I can combine those same colors in various ways, and this really helps to speed up the card making process.
