Ten Things you will find with the new Microsoft out look mail 2015

Recently, microsoft updated the email features to give another look for  the free microsoft email users. Eventhough many things still look the same, it is important to know what is new or had been modified.
1. Ad on Right side bar.
In the previous version, there were no ads on the side bar. With the new version, ads are being displayed on the right side bar. Users now have the possibility to use either  ad free outlook(premium about 20 dollars per year) or out look with ad(free). This is a very similar feature on Yahoo Mail.
2. The Setting tabs clearly displayed on the right with sub-settings displayed on a drop down menu. You can also use the suggestion box to send feed back, by clicking the question sign(?) before your profile picture (after settings)

3. No  Facebook contacts for conversion.
Event though this was done earlier, You can only communicate with skype contacts when checking your mails on out look.
 4. Pop Up when you click on More folders to move an email.

  5. Pin Message option

 In addition to the  flagged option, you can now pin your important messages. Pinned emails will remain at the top.

6. Archive folder.
Instead of pinning emails, you can also move important emails from your inbox  to the archive folder .
To use this feature,
 Go to your inbox==>Right click on the message of interest===>click on archive
 and your message had been kept in a special folder.
7. Undo Action
The most common undo on Microsoft word is now available in your outlook account.
This help you to get actions you deleted back.
To use this action select the drop down arrow at the left end when you are typing a new message. This new menu got other features like hyperlinking options,table insertion,adding alternate text or image among others.

8. Templates(Ad ins)
With the new outlook , you can create customized messages and save as templates which can be sent to any user any time , By click Ad ins  when typing a new message.

9. The Sweep Feature 

The sweep feature allows you to keep messages for a particular number days,you can also use it to delete messages from  specific users.You can as well keep emails from specific senders for a length of time.This will hepl keep your inbox clean from thousands of unwanted emails .
10.  More features of word
You can now in subscripts and superscripts redo , undo and redo actions, resize images  and more

What are the Challenges you will face as a blogger Things to know when starting a blog

      

Usually many are full of excitement when starting a blog.  After reading the reasons to start a blog, above you might think it is time for you  to blog. No, you have to know the challenges that are at hand before getting started. Here we go:

1.       Blogging needs a lot of patience. It is important to know that you have to exercise patience. Most people want to blog for money. But after one to two years they are not seeing a dollar, others want to be famous but your post get 5 views or none per day. If you want to adventure with your career as a blogger, then you need to know that the key to blogging is ‘’patience’’.

People will not comment on your post as you think; people will not share your post as you might think, your post will not get thousands of views as you thought.  Finally the last thing you will have to exercise patience is SEO results

2.      One of the most challenging problem bloggers is getting traffic or growing traffic.

You can imagine how frustrating things might look like when you are not getting visitors for your post or comments on your blog post. That’s just a challenge. Remember I mentioned above that blogging is taking a challenge. Many people start blogging without taking into consideration things like website design, key words and focus on content. We might just find a free template somewhere and start up. It is very important to use an SEO optimized template or know if your template is optimized or not. If not then consider doing some work on it. 

Consider using social media and other SEO techniques to improve your traffic. Avoid black hat SEO techniques. Just work harder and you will get results.

3.      The feeling of     ‘’I can do it all alone’’ is what tend to kill most bloggers. Most newbies think they can provide all the blog content for their blog. Some don’t even want to interact with other bloggers. You main thing is to get up write you post and take a cup of coffee. Oh no! As a blogger you should engage with other bloggers. Remember even though you paid for the hosting and domain, the blog is not really ‘’your thing’’.  Interacting with other bloggers in the blogosphere will greatly improve your write ups and SEO. Guest posting is one the best free SEO technique. Consider writing to other blogs; accept quality articles about your niche from other bloggers, comment on blogs similar to yours, reply to questions you can answer. It is only by doing this that you will beat this killer factor and excel with your blogging career. Blogging alone is the fastest way to fail

4.      Once you start getting traffic on your blog readers will always be expecting more from you. As results, you feel you are not giving the best to readers in terms of quantity. This pressure to write continuously had been a source of encouragement to others while some bloggers don’t consider this even.  To avoid this pressure, you have to try to post averagely three articles per week.

5.      As a blogger, at one moment you might find yourself not focusing on providing content. You find yourself trying to sell products and signing up for various affiliates. Just make sure as a starter you don’t get yourself into this mess. You decided to blog because you can write, let your readers read from you. Your audience is the key and will give you the money just at the right time. It is very important to build traffic and a reputation first.

6.      When you start blogging, it is always exciting you put in more time and effort in updating your post and designing.  At one moment, you might just find yourself thinking that blogging is taking all your spare time.  Do you have something doing during your spare time?

You will discover that your spare time is being used for other stuff while your readers are eager waiting for new post from you.

If you are into blogging, then you need to create time to blog, you need to create time for research among others things to maintain quality. There is no such thing like lack of free time. You just want to quit.

7.      Choosing a niche is always a challenge to some people who want to start a blog. Once this is done another big challenge is getting the content for this niche. What are the topics you will write on, what about the next post or how many post you will be able to write? This always seems difficult. But handling this is very easy. We all need inspiration. Get a look at some blogs that write about your niche, read articles and e-books and who knows you might just find yourself back in the game ,saying ‘’I will lead the team’’ 

8.        I mentioned in the reasons to blog, that you should be confident. This is a very great point where bloggers use to fail. As a starter, you have to be flexible. Sometime you might just be providing low quality content, but because of your feeling of originality, you don’t feel something is wrong with it. Creating time to evaluate content is a very big challenge. Blogging is not all about providing content. It is about interaction, it is about keeping people with updated information, it is about writing.  Make sure you evaluate your blog post, add what should be added and remove what you think is irrelevant.

9.       Negative comments tend to send new bloggers packing. Hey, my friend this is not what you should do. People have freedom of opinions. The opinion of everyone counts even though it does not in all cases. Just be calm reply to every comment be it positive or negative. Even Jesus Christ was criticized so you cannot run away from them. Just use the negative comments as a tool to build and get on with the blogging race, you might just emerge the winner.

10 Things to consider when choosing a Domain name for your blog website

1.          What is a domain name?

A domain name is an identification string that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority or control within the Internet. Domain names are formed by the rules and procedures of the Domain Name System (DNS)-Wikipedia.

Godday.com a top web hosting company in the US points out that, a domain name, is like a street address for a house or business.

It is your physical address on the internet thanks to an internet protocol (IP) which helps to identify information online.

Example of domain names include: ransbiz.com, 2545bc.com, healthplero.com, mtncameroon.net, google.com and you can continue naming. You don’t have to boarder so much about the functioning of this as a blogger, may be later. As a blogger, you should be interested in choosing your own name like the ones sited in the examples above. Am I right?

      How do I choose a domain name?

Bloggers are often challenged with which domain name to use and sometimes how to choose a domain name given the variety of options that exist out there. Here are some tips that will help this blogger choose the domain name.

1.       Uniqueness

Your domain name should be unique. Avoid using names that are too popular.

Choose a name related to health; search the name on Google or Bing. If you see more than ten pages showing results for word page, then consider trying another one. You should want to start something new. Make it look new and unique. Make sure your website is not confused with some popular websites.

2. Dot com domain first

The three most popular domain extensions are .com,.net and .org.

I recommend you start with a .com extension as many people already are used to it. If you consider expanding your blog to may be a business in the future, then should buy all three .com .net and .org extension.

Hostgator.com recommends .com domains too.

This does not mean choosing other extensions will make your blog unknown. This point is important to those concerned with branding and name recognition. There are several options you can consider depending on your location. For example:.com .cn,  .com.ng,.cm,.fr,.de,.guru,.co.za etc. If you  want to use a domain extension specific to your country, then search ‘’ your country domain extensions on google or meet hosting companies in your country’’.      3. The name should be easy to type/remember.

It is very easy to type yahoo,ransbiz, google ,facebook than  a name like healthcommuinitymanagementboard.

Choosing a short name makes it easy for readers to remember your blog. Ensure that the short name is easy to remember too.  A mixture of vowels and consonants makes it great.

So this might. What about bbc.om and cnn.com?  They are doing   great right? Ok, so you have to be smart too.

     This does not mean the long names should be left out. Up to 67 characters are allowed. If you consider using a longer name, make sure it is easy to remember.

 I am not a fan of long domain name. Sometimes I get very lazy to type long words which make me think like a lazy man. I like twitter.com, 2545b.com, bing.com and more. So my recommendation is the short and simple domain name.

     4. The name should be easy to remember

I remember a client of mind who wanted to a blog to write about the activities of a  cultural organization.

Here is the domain name he suggested to be used ‘’begmehefahfahmilahwi’’.  This is in a dialect in Cameroon which means we will do the work in this county. In ten people that visit a site like this, I don’t think up to 3 will be able to remember such a name. To make your domain easy to remember make sure you consider the following.

a)      Choose a good letters it you want a long name  or just keep it short

b)      Avoid hyphes(-), commas(,) and other signs like *,+,_^ & in your domain name.

This means if healthpleromana.com is taken, we should not try health-pleromana or insert other sign to maintain the name. Consider other options.

c)       Don’t make it complex like my client did.

I noticed the used of hyphenated names on some websites in Cameroon and other countries. I had to do a research on why people are doing this even the professionals . I found out two main reasons:

i.                     It helps search engines to  distinguish your keywords better

ii.                   To keep the name of the business

I don’t still recommend clients to use hyphens. I believe in originality.

 5.  Avoid tricky domain names.

One mistake bloggers make is choosing a domain name that does not match their content.

Imaging your type the key words, best mobile phones and your find a domain name say ‘’bestmobilephones.cm’’ . Upon clicking on the domain name you land on a web page talking about weight loss.  It looks weird righ
