I am so happy to be sharing this post with you today!  I recently discovered the Roeda Studio and their product line.  They have a line of frames, bulletin boards, dry erase boards, easels and magnetic shapes to embellish them all.  This allows you to build your own customized look for your home or for gifts.  What this video for some examples.

I really like their These United States Collection, which is made up of memo boards shaped like all of the states.  This would be a really cute wedding gift for two people board in different states . . . how cute would that be on the wall to have two memo boards shaped like the states they were born in.

Okay . . . back to my project . . .

I have been wanting a memo board for our kitchen for a while now.  I wanted something where I could leave a "to do list" for my teenage daughter, so if she was not up before I left for work she would know that I wanted her to take care of a few things before I got home.  I also wanted to use this for a way to remind all of the family of the errands we might have to accomplish over the weekend.

My family had been using post-it notes for this, but depending on where you put the note, it may not be seen by everyone.  Also, due to the size of the post-it notes there were times that I had to use 2 or 3 for all of the items I needed to list.

Now our family uses the Roeda Studio Dry Erase To Do Board!

First, it was SO EASY to put up on the wall in our kitchen.  Just 2 nails . . . done.

Second, the words "to do" are cut out of the board at the top.  I think this is a great idea, since it allows the color of the wall behind it to come through, so this board will match ANY decor for ANY room of your house . . . the color of the words IS your wall!

Third, the board has a lot of space so I can write messages or even put up an invitation to a family members wedding.  This is nice since we all have gotten invitations that have gotten lost in the pills of papers on the desk or the counter.  This way the invitation is up on display.

Fourth, the flowers and butterfly that you see on this board are all magnets.  I can get different ones to match my decor or the seasons/holidays.  I used two of the flowers like the bullet points in front of the different items listed on the to do list.

Here I simply changed out some of the magnets, making the butterflies the bullet points and put more flowers around the wedding invitation.  You could also display birth announcements . . . which would remind you to send a gift for the new baby.  A family photo or vacation picture would look nice here also.  Since it is all magnetic it makes it so easy to change out.

And these little magnets are STRONG!  I know I have two on the corner of this photo, but that is only because I thought the board looked cuter with two.  When we ere taking these out of the package my teenage daughter even commented on how strong the magnets were.  She said "Normally the cute ones are not strong enough to hold anything up . . . they did a good job with these!"

The other thing I like about a magnetic system is that you dont end up putting holes into your photos with push pins.

Tomorrow I can erase the list and start a new one for the family to get done.  When winter comes along I want to use some snowflakes or snowmen on this board.

Roeda Studio is offering a special promotion for all of you!

Enter the code CraftyChics with your order and you will get a free surprise magnet!  Roeda Studios will pick one of their magnets to add to your order . . . it could be a snowflake, a pumpkin, a fall leaf . . . you wont know until your order arrives.  Its like waiting to see what prize is at the bottom of the Cracker Jack box!

So head over to Roeda Studio and start picking out the pieces to embellish your story!

Scroll to the bottom of the main page and you can sign up for their email list.  Dont worry . . . they only send out a couple of promotions a month, so you wont get a flood of annoying emails.

When I attend the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show (CHA) I always have to stop by the DCWV booth to see what is new.  I think everyone knows and has purchased at least one of their cardstock stacks over the years.

Besides cardstock stacks, DCWV was also showcasing some of their kits that they have.

One of the Make and Take projects showed how to make these paper flowers.

I really liked the bright colors in this cardstock stack.  Not only does it have some great images for birthdays, but the bright colors and patterns on some of these papers could be used for general scrapbooking and card making.

DCWV also has wall decal kits.  These are pre-cut shapes that you can use to decorate any space in your home.  I love the brown and teal combination in this first one.

Todays card is a fun and easy swing card using a Sizzix die and Lawn Fawn stamp.

First I started with a bright yellow cardstock for the base cut.  Using my Sizzix die this was easy to make.  I love that I can just run this die through my Big Shot and it cuts the card, adds all of the creases for the folds and cuts the shape that "swings" in the center all at once.

Next it was time to embellish.  I took a smaller piece of cardstock with bright stripes on it and placed it over just a portion of the die.

After that, I cut on the crease line

Now you can see the pieces after I cut down the crease line.

I adhered the larger portion of the striped paper to the left side of the card, and added the small strip to the far right for an accent.

Then I cut three pieces of ribbon and attached them to the circular portion of the card on the inside.  To hide the ends and where the tape was, I cut a circle out of a coordinating piece of blue cardstock and centered that inside of the circle shape of the card.

I stamped Happy Birthday on it and added some dots of Viva Decor for accent.

Now lets finish the outside!  I used the same blue cardstock, but this time I added some embossed dots to the circle to give some texture.  I layered a giraffe that I cut and stamped with my Lawn Fawn stamps.  Since I cut him from a creamy yellow cardstock I simply stamped him in brown to add the details, and then colored in the spots . . . quick, easy and cute!

This is how the finish card looks when it is standing up . . . the inside view . . .

If you changed the inside sentiment, this could also be an adorable card for the arrival of a new baby.

I love it when you have a crafting tool that was made for one use, but you can find a second use for it. That is exactly what I am going to show you with todays project.

The idea for this project all started when I saw a woven paper heart project for Valentines day.  The base cut for the project reminded me of the woven bracelet shape from Marisa Pawelkos die with Sizzix.

I started off by cutting the bracelet shape out of two different shades of pink paper.  You can use the row of dots that are also cut with this die for another project since we will not need them for this.

Next I cut both of the bracelet pieces in half as shown below.

Then I start to weave one into the other, just like those woven place mats we have all made out of paper back in grade school.

Tighten things up and shift the pieces so that there are no gaps.  Turn them on an angle so that the rounded portion is at the top . . . do you see the heart now?

The last step is to simply secure the pieces with a little adhesive so that they stay nice and flat, and then trim off the excess.  Now you have two little woven hearts!

Since this die cut is intended for making a bracelet, there are small holes at the top of the heart.  You could use those to thread some ribbon through and tie these hearts onto a card or other crafting project.  If you sealed these so that the paper would not tear you might even be able to make a necklace.

THIS is a post I did not know I would be making when I started off to the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show (CHA) this year . . . a collection of all of the things I saw on the show floor that made me think of Disney!

I have included links so you can follow these companies.  Let them know Shawn Mosch sent you!

The first thing I saw that made me think of Disney were these Alice In Wonderland cardstock sheets that you can color in, from Marion Smith.

Next I spotted the paper at the Reminisce, which would be perfect for Frozen projects.

And for your Toy Story projects, or photos from Toy Story Mania at the parks!

They also have another one called Real Magic that was not on display, but I saw it on their website.  Just click HERE to check it out.

Next up, I spotted some Mickeys in the ClearScrap booth!  Not only do they have Mickey shapes, but an entire Mickey book.  Check it out!

Buttons Galore has some great buttons, but I think my favorites might be the Mickey Mouse balloon shapes! These would look adorable on a scrapbook layout or card.

I have a blog post JUST about Buttons Galore HERE . . . loved their booth!

Now off to Paper Wizard!  There was SO MUCH to see here!  Mickey and Minnie books

A line of stamps!

And here are some of their pre-cut shapes

I had to find some Donald love . . . he is my daughters favorite.

Really, this is just a small sampling of what they carry.  Check out the links below

Again, tell them that Shawn Mosch sent you.

In the very next booth I found Queen & Co.  and the first thing that caught my eye was the Magic Collection - Around The Park mat stack.

They also have stickers

And these buttons, that they call "flair"

They were kind enough to donate one of their mat stacks for us to use as a prize in our upcoming Disney Pixar Blog Hop.  If you dont know about this event yet, you can check out the details HERE.  Basically, it will be a day of enjoying Disney themed crafting projects and inspiration!

This next photo is of a project that was on display at the Heartfelt Creations booth.  I liked how they used all of these different elements, along with the phrase "You Can Fly" and a picture of a boy in a Peter Pan hat.

Even though the paper and elements are not truly Disney items, it still gives the feel of Disney because of the phrase.

Now check THIS out!  Rolls and rolls of Disney themed Duck Tape!

Here is a cute little Mickey Mouse shaker card I found in the Cheery Lynn Designs booth.  One great thing about Mickey is that you dont really need a special die to create him . . . three circles is all you need.

Next up . . . Disney stamps from Scrapbook Customs.  These are perfect for adding a touch of Disney to any of your cards.

They also have adorable Disney stickers and papers.
